The Neoclinus blanchardi fish, also known as the widemouth fish, has a unique fighting style called the "kiss of death." These fish have large, powerful mouths which they use to fight not only their own kind but also any creature that invades their territory. They can measure up to 30cm long and prefer temperate seas with coral reefs. They live in crevices on the ocean floor and are highly protective of their territory. During fights, they determine the winner by measuring the size of their mouths. Despite their intimidating appearance, they mainly use their wide mouths to intimidate opponents, although they can still harm them with their sharp teeth.
